About my Work

I’m Aidan Collins, a passionate and dedicated sound designer with a deep love for creating rich and immersive audio landscapes. Having earned an MA in Sound Design for Screen from Bournemouth University, I’ve developed a strong foundation in recording, mixing, and sound design, with a particular focus on dialogue and ADR editing. My technical expertise spans Pro Tools, Adobe CC, RX11 for dialogue restoration, and SourceConnect for remote collaboration, allowing me to work efficiently across studio and location environments.

Currently, I’m freelancing at Akta Photography, a company dedicated to empowering actors and helping them showcase their talent at its best. At Akta, I direct and run voiceover sessions for actors and singers at all stages of their careers — from newcomers finding their voice to seasoned professionals refining their reels. I handle the entire audio post-production process, editing reels with industry-standard tools and techniques, including iZotope RX for pristine dialogue restoration. My aim is always to craft reels where sound effects and music elevate the performance without ever overshadowing it, ensuring each piece leaves a lasting impact.

My experience working at Another Tongue, a voice-studio in Soho further fueled my passion for voice recording and post-production. I gained hands-on experience in recording high-quality voiceovers, ensuring smooth, professional sessions, and working closely with clients to meet their creative needs. I also developed a keen ear for blending voice, music, SFX, and ambience to create polished, impactful soundscapes that elevate the final product.

From podcasts to animation, I thrive on the challenge of shaping audio to enhance storytelling. I’ve always been fascinated by the power of sound to evoke emotion, build tension, and bring visual elements to life. Whether it’s capturing the subtle nuances of a voice performance or designing atmospheric soundscapes, I approach each project with enthusiasm and a meticulous attention to detail. Now, I’m eager to contribute my skills to exciting sound design opportunities in London, where I can continue to grow and collaborate with talented professionals in the field.
